BBC School Radio Broadcast - 4 episodes

Assembly series for children aged 5 to 7 including a story, song, reflection/prayer and opportunities for discussion. This unit can be used to fulfil the statutory requirement for an act of Collective Worship.

1 - What's Your Favourite Story?

2 - Traditional Tales

(Working together to achieve a goal; traditional tales as a genre; harvest and giving thanks for food)

3 - Myths and Legends

(Myths/legends as a genre; being brave and asking for help; being grateful for the light and heat of the sun)

4 - Parables

(Being a good "neighbour"'; who are our neighbours? parable as a genre; stories with a "message")
