Planet 51

Cert: U, Length: 1 hour 24 mins, Year of release: 2009

Witty and family-friendly animation. Astronaut Chuck Baker lands on Planet 51, expecting to plant a flag, hit a few golf balls and go home. But this planet is inhabited by small, green aliens whose society mirrors that of 1950s America, complete with a fascination with alien-invasion films. The aliens are therefore terrified by their "invader", just as he is by them. Only teenage astronomer Lem appears unperturbed. He befriends Chuck and, in shades of ET, hides him in his home, before they embark on a journey to get Chuck back to his ship before it returns to Earth.
