Animated festive family fun. James McAvoy, Hugh Laurie, Bill Nighy and Jim Broadbent are among the stars providing the voices for Aardman Animations' second CGI feature. Having throughly modernised the family business, Steve Claus, his huge hi-tech, reindeer-free Christmas present delivery system, the S-1, and a vast army of elves have concluded another season's global gift distribution. Steve is especially looking forward to celebrating this year, as he expects to formally succeed his father, Santa. However, the mission has not been completed: it's discovered that a girl wasn't given her present. And so Steve's younger brother Arthur and the grumpy, long-retired Grandsanta decide to deliver her gift the old way, with a sleigh and flying reindeer. But they have no idea the pandemonium this traditional gesture will cause.
