The Number Crew CD-ROM is designed to give children enjoyable practice in basic mathematical concepts and skills, and to give a useful assessment of their progress. The CD-Rom s based on The Number Crew television programmes broadcast on Channel 4. The CD-ROM contains video section from eight programmes, activities and skills tests. Each activity and skills test focuses on one particular mathematical objective relating to the programmes. They have three star-levels: star-level one is easy enough to offer early success to nearly all children. However, to succeed at star-level three the child needs to have a thorough understanding of the maths skill in question.
