This Seeing Geography TV-ROM provides resources for children aged 7-11 studying a less economically developed country. The countries features are Jamaica, India and Sri Lanka. Before exploring any of these developing countries, it would be useful to discover what ideas the children already have about them. Begin by brainstorming ideas about aspects such as: jobs, houses, school, transport, clothes, leisure, weather and landscape. They will probably be surprised to find that there are more similarities than differences between people's lives in other parts of the world and their own.
