OhBots

Description

This set contains 2 Ohbots

Ohbot is a seven motor expressive robot head that connects to a computer running Windows so that it can be programed. Includes a sequence of problem solving activities designed for children 7 and up that support the development of computational thinking. Supports an understanding of sequences, repetition and selection, variables and work with a range of sensor inputs and sound and movement outputs. Further activities can be found on the OhBot website.

Ohbot for windows includes graphical programming software modelled on Scratch. Suitable for anyone that is new to programming it has been designed to stretch pupils' computational thinking and understanding of computer science.

Ohbot uses a block programming environment based on the Scratch language which was developed at MIT. OhBot includes text-to-speech technology so that children can program it to say whatever they like. It also includes face recognition so that it can be programmed to react when it sees a child and follow their movement.

You will need a device with 2 USB ports and Internet access to use each Oh Bot.
